The Arnold Press See muscles involved Primary Muscles Involved Deltoids (Anterior, Medial, and Posterior) Other Muscles Involved Triceps, Trapezius, Serratus Anterior, Forearms, Abdominals and Spinal Erectors (Stabilizing the torso) Execution With abdominals tightened, hold dumbells with elbows bent so that the dumbells are approximately at shoulder level and palms are facing rearward (Starting Position). Rotate hands while pressing upward so that the palms are facing forward when arms are extended above the head (Finishing Position). Tips and Safety Avoid swinging the upper body. This exercise may also be performed while seated. |
